Standing on the edge, gazing into the wilderness
I look upon the forest with eyes enhanced by enlightened civilization
Eyes that have been conditioned to appreciate the beauty of nature
What a sight to behold!
Such a magnificent distraction
From those inside, gazing out of the wilderness
Who look upon me with eyes cultured by evolution
Eyes that have been conditioned to identify prey
What a sight to behold!
